A Pop-Art Inspired Home in Cherry Hill, NJ
You too can create a warm and inviting living space with pops of color
I worked closely with my client to create their dream dining room and living room. The design for this space was inspired by my client’s collection of colorful Pop Art from artists including Romero Britto and Charles Fazzino. I used the vibrant and sophisticated contemporary color scheme of these pieces to create this stunning room setting.
My client challenged me to create a custom buffet and corner bar unit for the space that would be both functional and elegant. I was also able to update their vintage DIA (Design Institute of America) dining chairs with a new white Sunbrella fabric.
CLIENT REVIEW ON HOUZZ.COM…
“Michael Robinson, who is a real delight to work with, was somehow able to understand from a brief description of my tastes, what it was I was looking for. He showed me one piece, a cocktail table I immediately fell in love with, and I was sold. Michael came to our house and created a paper model with perfect dimensions so we could visualize what it would look like. He helped us choose the perfect sofa, chairs, area rugs, display/storage cabinet, buffet. When we realized we needed yet another piece, Michael came back and designed the perfect corner piece/bar area for what we needed. He knew immediately the proper vendors and materials for everything we wanted. Michael even helped me arrange our artwork, as we had no idea the best way to hang it all. He made our living and dining rooms feel like a habitable, magnificent, comfortable art gallery.
Prior to working with Michael, my husband had thought we would be moving from this house as soon as our children were out of college. It is no exaggeration to say that every morning, we are both so happy to come out of our bedroom and see such beauty that is our living room that we now know we will be staying here until we are no longer physically able to walk stairs!”
